EUROCONTROL Eurocontrol is the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation. Founded in 1960, it is an international organisation working for seamless, pan-European air traffic management. NEXTGEN Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) is a new National Airspace System due for implementation across the United States in stages between 2012 and 2025. ICAO The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations. It codifies the principles and techniques of international air navigation and fosters the planning and development of international air transport to ensure safe and orderly growth. Within ICAO, the Aeronautical Communications Panel (ACP) is developing SARPs, as well as guidance material for air-ground and ground-ground aeronautical communications, both voice and data.The activities of the ICAO ACP can be found here.
